About Jb


Born in Liverpool JB says "The Reds are Best!"  Jb is one of the leaders of Sompting community church. He is accountable to the leadership and members.
Brought up in London, Married to Christine for 30 years with 2 sons, Jb and his wife were foster carers for over 10 years until September 2007 when the last of the children reached 18. We took in teenage youngsters from a variety of different cultures and ages.
Education
YES, Jb did go to school!! And got 6 O-levels, did a 5 year apprenticeship as mechanical engineer with ONC certificate
Professional
1967-1974: worked in Germany and USA in engineering (Auf Weidersehn Pet)
1975-1984: Worked as a Production Manager 
1984-2003: Retrained as kitchen designer and fitter, and started his own business and opened a showroom with Christine as his partner. JB closed the showroom in 97 to work part time to allow him more time for his church ministry.
2003-2007: Working part time as the Childrens & Community Worker for Sompting Community Church and the rest of his time is spent at other churches and events under the banner of Illusion & Truth
2007-2009: A leader at Sompting Community Church while doing Outreaches with Illusion and Truth.
Now: I am currently planting East Worthing (Cafe) Church with my wife Christine, and doing outreach with illusionandtruth.

JB plays hockey for Worthing Hockey Club, and also enjoys sailing and skiing
The Future 
His desire is to continue to develop the Illusion and Truth ministry, and use it as a tool to reach out to people with the Gospel through mime, drama, illusions and escapology in a fresh, fun and creative way. He also wants to help and encourage others to do the same
